- of course it's an energy drink--it's caffeinated!This beverage has a heavy, sweet flavor, but I found it pleasant once I got used to it.
Note that it contains 24 mg caffeine per bottle, not a huge amount but this info might be of interest to some (either as a plus or minus!)
- Acai (from Brazil) Superfruit JuicesAcai, an antioxidant with omega 3s, is delicious. We tried the original flavor and the blueberry flavor - both excellent. We mix with a little bit of orange juice. The Zola product is 93% juice. Look carefully if you purchase Acai elsewhere since some have only a trickle of acai. The price on Amazon is much better (less expensive) than anywhere else. Local groceries and "health food stores" charge 2X-4X. Acai puree is also am excellent value on Amazon.
- Love to drink Zola!Love Zola! It is delicious & really good for you. It's a much better deal to buy than Monavie, which is $35.00 a bottle.
(And is a pyramid scam, by the way). With the Monavie, you only drink a couple of ounces a day. But Zola is a nice size and 93% pure acai pulp.

- Hit and miss - Quality control seems to be a disasterI'd rate this drink 5 stars because I've loved it so much that I've "subscribed" to have it delivered at least every month, it's always been my tasty treat in the morning or to finish off a day. I absolutely loved it.
Lately, though, I've been getting cases of the stuff full of bottles with foul-tasting fluids. I mean, RANCID. Make you gag stuff. And not just occasionally. With my most recent case, I drank the first one (squinty-eyeed, I figured it must be something I ate or drank before it) and had indigestion all day, the next two I threw out completely. The fourth one, I have here, and it has a slight foul aftertaste but it's mostly the same delicious sweet juice I originally enjoyed, so I'm drinking it.
The frequency of these had me motivated to post here.
I also noticed that, at least I think, they've been tinkering with their recipe. Besides the new packaging, I think they changed some ingredients out. The second ingredient is "organic evap cane juice". Cane juice? As in, sugar? I think the Zola I fell in love with several months ago was naturally sweetened by the fruit itself, not by added sugar.
Overall, the drink is now okay. But I'm cancelling my auto-order "subscription".
- Am I Ready For The Olympics Yet?Lots of hype, and it's difficult to really get an idea of whether this will get me back into training for the 100-yard dash. You can tell it's been a while, as I still refer to "yards."
So, I'll let others debate its healthfulness and whether it makes mere mortals leap tall buildings. I kinda liked the taste, which I'd describe as between grape and cranberry. A little residue at the bottom I guess is an indication of healthiness? Should I have decanted it?
It tastes OK, kind of refreshing, really. But unless you've got money to burn, and the Olympics to train for, I find it not quite worth the cost.
